Destiny Customs
Terms of Service
Last updated: July 14, 2026
These terms cover everything Destiny Customs runs: the Discord server, this website, account linking through Discord and Epic Games, our scrims, and our cash tournaments. By joining the server, signing in, or playing in a lobby we host, you agree to them.
01Who can play
- You are 13 or older (or your country’s minimum age for Discord, if higher). Under 18? Get a parent or guardian’s OK — especially for cash tournaments.
- You have Fortnite accounts in good standing — an active Epic Games ban makes you ineligible for our lobbies
- You comply with the Discord Terms of Service and the Epic Games / Fortnite terms and community rules at all times. Breaking their rules in our lobbies is breaking ours.
02Your account and linked services
Signing in works through Discord OAuth, and competitive features (scrim stats, leaderboards, tournament entry) require linking your Epic Games account through Epic’s official OAuth flow. We never see your passwords for either service.
- One person, one account. Alt accounts, shared accounts and smurfing on a linked second Epic account are bannable
- Link only accounts that are yours. Linking someone else’s Epic account voids your results
- You can unlink or revoke access at any time — but standing in an active tournament requires a linked account, so unlinking mid-event withdraws you
- You are responsible for what happens through your account. Secure your Discord and Epic logins.
03Scrims and customs
- Lobby codes are for checked-in players — sharing codes outside the server gets the lobby remade and you benched
- Check in on time. Repeated no-shows after check-in cost you priority access to future sessions
- Follow the format that is called (NZR rules, storm settings, drop-spot claims where applicable). Hosts have the final word in-session
- Results are recorded automatically from match data plus host review. Obvious scorekeeping errors get fixed — open a ticket within 24 hours
04Tournaments and prizes
Cash events — like the $50 NZR Solo Session — have their own posted ruleset (format, scoring, schedule, tiebreakers) in the Discord server. That ruleset is part of these terms for that event. On top of it, always:
- Entry requires a linked Epic Games account and completed check-in before the posted deadline
- Prizes are paid to the payout method you provide (typically PayPal), normally within 30 days of results being finalized
- Results are provisional until anti-cheat review completes. Disqualification forfeits any prize, including after payout — we may reclaim paid prizes obtained by cheating
- You are responsible for any taxes on prize money in your country
- If a tournament has to be cancelled or restarted for technical reasons (Fortnite outages happen), we reschedule; we don’t owe compensation beyond the advertised prize pool
05Fair play
The short version: win with your hands, not with software or friends.
- Zero tolerance: cheats, macros, config exploits, or any software advantage — permanent ban, forfeited prizes, reported where appropriate
- Teaming in solo formats, planned engagements and result manipulation (win-trading) — permanent ban
- Stream sniping and using live broadcasts to gain information — ban at host discretion
- Ban evasion on alternate Discord or Epic accounts extends the original ban and voids anything the alt account achieved
Suspected of any of the above? You may be asked for a replay file or a short VOD review before results finalize. Refusing a reasonable review request counts as a forfeit for that event.
06Behaviour and content
Server rules posted in Discord apply everywhere we operate. Keep it competitive, not toxic: no harassment, hate speech, doxxing or spam. Content you post in our channels (clips, screenshots, messages) stays yours — you give us a simple permission to display it within the community, for example in results posts and highlight channels.
07Enforcement
Moderators and hosts may warn, mute, bench, kick or ban at their discretion to keep sessions running and fair, with escalating consequences for repeat offences. Serious violations skip the escalation ladder. Ban appeals go through a ticket in the Discord server — one appeal per ban, reviewed by someone other than the issuing moderator.
08Third-party services
Destiny Customs is an independent community project. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Epic Games, Inc. or Discord Inc. Fortnite is a trademark of Epic Games, Inc. If Discord or Epic change or restrict their APIs and OAuth systems, features that depend on them may change or stop working — that’s outside our control.
09No warranties
The website, bots, scrims and tournaments are provided as is. We aim for sessions that run on time and stats that are accurate, but we don’t guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free scorekeeping or the availability of any particular session or event.
10Liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, our total liability to you for anything arising out of Destiny Customs is limited to the prize money actually owed to you for the event concerned. We are not liable for indirect losses — lost earnings, lost accounts on third-party platforms, or the emotional damage of a ninth-place storm death.
11Changes to these terms
We update these terms as the community grows. Meaningful changes are announced in the Discord server before they apply, and the date at the top always shows the current version. Playing in a session after a change takes effect means you accept it.
